Happy Friday!
I had a super productive day, which was really encouraging. Today, I realized just how great of a provider God truly is (Philippians 4:19). I was able to have some great prayer time this morning and then when shopping for my trip. I bought two pairs of pants and one pair of shorts and I’m pretty excited about them!
I also got news from World Race that we officially have our launch date and first destination! My squad will be heading out on August 6 and we’ll start our journey in Costa Rica. COVID has made it a bit challenging to stick to the usual routes, so we’ll be spending two months in Central America before heading down to South America.
Here are my prayer requests for this week:
1. The Global South squad. I’ll be going on this trip with 20 other people. I can’t wait to get to know them and build friendships that will last a lifetime. As we’re all preparing for the trip, we’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed and emotional.
2. Costa Rica. Since this is going to be our first stop, I pray that we can immediately jump in and be as loving and helpful as possible. This area of the world has a lot of poor and broken families as well as a huge need for children’s ministries.
3. Hearing God’s voice. Recently, I’ve been studying out how to hear God’s voice and what it means to truly listen to Him. It’s been an extremely eye-opening past few weeks and I hope that I’ll learn and grow a lot as I continue studying this out.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
Praying for all of us to hear God’s voice better!
